Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all bookings with Matobo Hills Lodge, operated by Brewlands Investments (Pvt) Ltd t/a Matobo Hills Lodge, Matobo National Park area, Zimbabwe. Version 2–2026.
Bookings & confirmation
All bookings must be confirmed in writing to bookings@matoposhillslodge.com. Once we receive your written confirmation, the cancellation policy below applies. If written confirmation is not provided, we reserve the right to release your booking.
Deposit & payment
- A 20% non-refundable deposit secures your booking.
- Bookings made more than 30 days before arrival: the deposit is payable at least 30 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings made within 30 days of arrival: the deposit is payable within 7 days of making the booking.
- The balance is due no less than 30 days before arrival.
- We accept bank transfer (USD or ZWG at prevailing rates), Visa, Mastercard and EcoCash. Please mark payments with your name or booking number and send proof of payment to bookings@matoposhillslodge.com.
Rates & inclusions
- Rates are quoted in USD per person per night on a sharing basis, inclusive of VAT and the 2% tourism levy. A 15% single-occupancy supplement applies in high season.
- Rates include accommodation, all meals listed in the package, teas and coffees, fresh fruits, and Wi-Fi in communal areas.
- National park and museum fees are included in the Matobo Experience and All-Inclusive packages only. These packages include two half-day tours or one full-day tour; on arrival and departure days one activity may be scheduled depending on travel times.
- Laundry is complimentary on the Matobo Experience and All-Inclusive packages, and charged per item on other packages.
Cancellation policy

Where we can, we will always try to rebook your dates before applying a cancellation charge. All guests are strongly advised to hold travel insurance covering cancellation.
Group bookings
Reservations of 8 or more guests are classified as a group. A 20% deposit confirms the reservation and the full balance is due no less than 30 days before arrival. Group activities must be booked in advance to ensure availability. One tour leader stays free of charge on packages inclusive of tours (excluding meals, drinks and park fees).

Children & room capacity
- Children aged 12 and over are considered adults.
- Children aged 4–11 pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing with adults (maximum 2 children per chalet).
- Children under 4 stay free of charge.
- Double and twin chalets accommodate a maximum of 2 guests; family rooms accommodate up to 4.
Travel insurance & indemnity
All guests are required to hold valid travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellation and personal belongings. Guests will be asked to sign an indemnity form on arrival at the lodge.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in from 14:00; check-out by 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out on request, subject to availability.

Weddings, conferences and retreats are covered by separate terms tailored to each event — please contact our office for the relevant document.
