Questions we are often asked.
How do I make a booking or enquiry?
Send us an enquiry, email bookings@matoposhillslodge.com, or call +263 775 876 661. We typically respond within twenty-four hours.
How do we pay, and what if plans change?
The quote sets out the terms in writing before anything is paid. If your dates move, tell us early and we will work with you. Write to bookings@matoposhillslodge.com and a person answers.
Do we need to book activities in advance?
Rhino tracking is worth booking with your stay because the rangers and the vehicles are finite. Everything else can be decided the evening before, over dinner.
How far is the lodge from Bulawayo?
About 50 km south, roughly 55 minutes by road. J. M. Nkomo International Airport is around 90 minutes away and we arrange transfers on request.
Can you collect us from Victoria Falls or Harare?
Not by road, that's a long day in a vehicle. Fly to Bulawayo and we'll meet you at BUQ. It's an hour from Harare and a short hop from the Falls.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Tell us when you book and the kitchen will plan around it. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergies are all routine for us.
Is there Wi-Fi and mobile signal?
Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge area. Mobile signal is intermittent in the hills, which many guests come to appreciate.
